Chief operating officer initially heard brilliant act (4)

  2. Coup d'etat, coup de blues, boire un petit coup, coup de gueule, coup de pied, coup de poing, coup de foudre, coup dans l'eau, and so many other expressions in French... But in English, I like the idea it's associated with native americans. What is the reason for this ? Anyone knows ? I imagine the single warrior killing his enemy without being injured... what a coup !
