Amelia stood on the railway station shivering, waiting for a train. She had waited hours and hours, but there was no sign of any train in all that time. She peered down the track in both directions, but there was nothing.
ReplyDeleteIf only Amelia had known : the train was invisible!! But if she HAD known, perhaps she would have felt embarrassed and spoony. As it was, she just felt cold.
...Amelia decided to go home,
ReplyDeleteits wintry cold and she was alone,
the fireplace heat is inadequate ,
she wants him now, his warmth ,
to be spoony in bed . . .
...but how can she disturb
ReplyDeletehim, asleep in the bed
not wanting to perturb
him, she just covered him instead.
It seemed that perhaps he was just waking
she glanced back over
to see he was faking.
They laughed and she said
"You are so spoony"...
He handed her a note, and she read:

Violets are loony
I'll bet this poem
Makes you feel spoony!
She grinned...
and said to him.

Let me plate up our desire,
Let our path never fork,
For no new knives I will inquire,
Nor larger cups for you above."
She ran to the piano and started to play chopsticks ...
