  1. The Dingle is a real area of Liverpool, Merseyside, England - an area entirely within the boundaries of the old Twoxtweth Park. It's named after Dingle Brook which entered the River Mersey at Knott's Hole, which was a narrow bay or inlet next to where the Dingle flowed out to the Mersey. (Twuth is sometimes more interestwing than fictwion!)
