The taste of the grated pencil was bitter in his mouth and the cheese he had for lunch disagreed with his stomach. 'If those kids knew' he thought, 'that they are zestful enough to get out of the story, I would be in deep trouble. 'If they found out that inspiration gave me lemons and I made orangeade, I would not be the one to live to tell the story..."
