  1. The Baudelaire children glared out at their creator. "Come on!" they urged, "You've trapped us in ANOTHER series of unfortunate events. If we were less tired, if we were more zestful, we could escape from this mess."

    Lemony Snicket sucked the end of his pencil and thought. Zest. Zest. Where am I going to find zest from? Hm. He pondered...

  2. The taste of the grated pencil was bitter in his mouth and the cheese he had for lunch disagreed with his stomach. 'If those kids knew' he thought, 'that they are zestful enough to get out of the story, I would be in deep trouble. 'If they found out that inspiration gave me lemons and I made orangeade, I would not be the one to live to tell the story..."
